I believe the right consultant should possess three qualities at the same time — not just one or two.
Real subject-matter understanding, education, research and strategic perspective.
Hands-on, lived experience dealing with the same types of business challenges being discussed.
The relationships, resources and access necessary to turn strategy into action.
KNOWLEDGE + EXPERIENCE + NETWORK = EXECUTION
Knowledge without experience can remain theoretical. Experience without knowledge can lack perspective. And both can fall short without the right network to get things done.
The objective of consulting should not simply be to produce advice. It should be to help create results.
Operating across different industries provides perspective. Many business challenges — capital, people, partnerships, operations, growth and execution — repeat across sectors. That pattern recognition is part of what I bring to every engagement.
These are not separate consulting practices. They are the sectors where I have operated, invested, built, advised and learned — and they inform the cross-sector perspective I bring to every client engagement.
MAESTRO Consulting was not created from a traditional consulting background. It grew out of more than two decades of entrepreneurship, investing, building businesses, solving problems and learning firsthand what works — and what does not.
I arrived in the United States in 2002 as a young immigrant with a belief that the most complex challenges require collaborative solutions. I was determined not only to build a career, but to give back to the country that gave me so much opportunity.
My academic journey spans International Business (Strayer University, 2006), Political Science/Public Administration (Roosevelt University, 2012), Executive Scholar at Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern (2013), and a Master's in International Relations at Harvard University (2019). Education was one component of credibility — not the entire reason for it.
My business journey began in 2005 and has spanned retail, logistics, technology, real estate, investments, capital structuring, partnerships, growth, acquisitions and exits. Ventures have included defense media, airline cargo operations, retail stores, real estate development, technology and more. Some succeeded. Some did not. Some investments were lost, some projects failed and some partnerships became difficult lessons. Those experiences became part of the education.
I dedicated 10+ years to serving as a trusted convener among various cultural and religous groups, in order to build sustainable relationships in our communities. I have also been active in civic advocacy, U.S.-Türkiye relations, and democratic engagement at the federal level — and I feel grateful to be a proud husband and father of four children who inspire me daily.
Over time, I came to believe that the most valuable business advice combines three things: knowledge, real-life hands-on experience and the network required to get things done. That philosophy ultimately became the foundation of MAESTRO Consulting.
Education is one component of credibility — not the entire reason for it. My academic journey was pursued alongside entrepreneurship, not instead of it.

EDUCATION + EXPERIENCE + LESSONS + RELATIONSHIPS
The combination of formal education, hands-on entrepreneurship, civic leadership and real-world deal-making is what shapes the perspective I bring to every engagement.
Over two decades of entrepreneurship, investing, building businesses and advising across sectors. These credentials reinforce credibility — they are not separate service categories.

"A MAESTRO does not need to play every instrument."
The role is to understand how the pieces work together, bring the right people into the room, establish direction and coordinate execution toward a common outcome.
Business works much the same way. The right strategy may require operators, attorneys, accountants, lenders, investors, technology partners, sales professionals, government stakeholders or other specialists.
My role is often to understand the objective, assemble the right pieces and help move everyone toward execution.
Behind the advisory work is a person shaped by two countries, multiple industries, a family he loves, and a genuine curiosity about how people and businesses grow.
I came to the United States from Türkiye in 2002. That experience — of starting over in a new country, learning a new culture, building from scratch — shaped how I think about risk, resilience and opportunity. It also gave me a deep appreciation for what it means to build something meaningful.
My academic journey took me from Strayer University to Roosevelt University to Kellogg at Northwestern to Harvard. I pursued education not as a credential-collecting exercise, but because I genuinely wanted to understand business, policy, international relations and how the world works.
I have started businesses, invested in others, partnered with people I trusted and learned hard lessons when things did not go as planned. I have experienced both the satisfaction of a successful exit and the sting of a failed venture. Both made me better.
I spent 10 years with the Niagara Foundation, rising from intern to Board President. I have been active in U.S.-Türkiye relations, democratic advocacy and civic engagement at the federal level. I believe business leaders have a responsibility to their communities, not just their bottom lines.
I am a proud husband and father of four children. They are the reason I work hard and the reason I try to stay grounded. Building something meaningful — in business and in life — starts at home.
What I enjoy most — in business and in life — is connecting the right people to the right opportunities. Whether it is helping someone find the right franchise, introducing two people who should know each other, or helping a business leader see a path they had not considered, that is where I feel most useful.
